Hello, my name is Laurie Elkins. After years of working as a nurse in many different medical settings, I am bringing my real-world, hands-on health knowledge directly to the classroom. My medical background means that I view our class through a lens of care, patience, and precise problem-solving. My hobbies include traveling the world, spending time with my family and reading. Traveling teaches me about global cultures, local traditions, and resilience. I love bringing my travel adventures into our lessons to spark curiosity. My  family is my anchor, keeping me grounded and motivated every day. I treat our classroom like a strong, supportive family. I combine my nursing heart with my love for global exploration to create a safe space where students feel cared for and excited to learn. We will explore new concepts together just like travelers on a journey!
