P-TECH Leader meeting Agendas and Relevant Materials
Rockport-Fulton ISD P-TECH Professional Development & Mentoring System
All high school P-TECH instructors participate in required RFISD and campus-level professional development that focuses on instructional excellence, safety, curriculum alignment, and student support. Del Mar College faculty teaching dual-credit courses complete all college-required training and participate in departmental meetings and updates tied to each program of study. Both RFISD and Del Mar College instructional teams collaborate regularly to align syllabi, review course rigor, and ensure that content remains relevant to current workforce needs.
Dual-credit faculty are also invited to Del Mar College professional development opportunities designed to support the unique needs of dually enrolled high school students. These sessions emphasize instructional strategies, student engagement, academic support systems, and FERPA/college compliance. Upcoming sessions and dates are shared with instructors throughout the academic year.
Collaborative Planning & Curriculum Alignment
RFHS and Del Mar College faculty meet periodically throughout the school year to plan units, review student progress, and align expectations related to course outcomes and industry certifications. This includes coordinated review of TEKS, workforce standards, NCCER and Health Science certification requirements, and durable skills integration.
Rockport-Fulton High School and Middle School CTE teachers also participate in weekly CTE PLC meetings, which focus on instructional planning, analyzing student progress, and sharing best practices across pathways—including Welding and Nursing Science P-TECH cohorts.
