January 26, Two-Hour Delay

Rockport-Fulton ISD will have a two-hour delayed start on Monday, January 26, due to frigid early morning temperatures. Many of our students board buses as early as 6:30 a.m., and this delay allows time for temperatures to rise so students and staff can arrive to warm buses and buildings. It also provides time for our teams to check facilities and ensure systems are operating properly in these unusually cold conditions.

School is still on. Only the start time is adjusted.

Instruction will proceed as planned once school begins. Attendance matters for learning, classroom continuity, and the strength of our district. This adjustment is for safety, not cancellation. We appreciate families and staff making every effort to be present on Monday so we can continue the important work of teaching and learning.

Live Oak Learning Center and Fulton Elementary will start at 9:50 am, while Rockport-Fulton Middle School and High School will start at 10:35 am. School buses will also run their routes on a 2-hour delay (example: if your student normally gets picked up at 6:45 am, they’ll get picked up at 8:45 am).

Doors open to receive students:

Live Oak Learning Center - 9:10 am

Fulton Elementary - 9:15 am

Rockport-Fulton Middle School - 9:45 am

Rockport-Fulton High School - 9:55 am

Breakfast will be available for students as they arrive at school.

We will continue to monitor conditions and communicate if needed.

Stay warm, and we look forward to seeing you at school.
