About Math Department
The mission of the Rockport-Fulton High School Math Department is to provide an education in mathematics that helps students be successful members of an ever changing society. This will be accomplished through their commitment to excellency in teaching and learning, a focused mathematical curriculum, and a positive and supportive classroom environment for all students.
Students will be challenged to develop skills in analysis, problem solving, reasoning, creativity, and collaboration as they gain knowledge of mathematics. The math department will maintain high academic and behavioral expectations, make every classroom minute count, and make efforts to drive students to realize their full potential.

The Math Dept will use Khan Academy to supplement the TEKS for each subject area. Khan Academy is a great resource for your child. The website will provide different methods of solving problems in case your child does not understand the method that is taught in class. We hope you will take some time to use Khan Academy at home as well as in class.
