The English Department at RFHS works collaboratively to provide a curriculum that closely aligns with the state standards and expectations. We seek to help students gain a love for reading that will stretch beyond the classroom and into their personal lives. With the district's continued financial support of a varied reading collection, our students are consistently exposed to both classic and contemporary literature that speaks to this ever-changing generation of learners. Through a well-rounded writing program, students on our campus learn to develop the skills needed to successfully communicate in their immediate world. The diversity of our general education, inclusion and AP classes offer the appropriate pacing and rigor needed for all students to be successful.

We hope that the positive relationships we have developed as a department will be reflected in our day to day experiences with kids.
