Howdy!
Me!
Nice to meet you! I am Ms. Sara Niederriter and I teach Government and Economics. This is my second year with RFHS after earning my bachelors in History from Texas A&M University (WHOOP!).
In my class, a student can expect to collaborate with their peers and critically think about the structure and function of our United States government and economy. My goal as an educator is to create informed citizens, empathetic individuals, and deep thinkers who seek out learning opportunities beyond the classroom.
Outside of the classroom, you might find me at the beach with a book or in my kitchen trying a new cookie recipe.
I can't wait to engage our senior students in new learning, growth, and discovery through their final year of high school. Guardians, thank you for trusting me with your child, and I look forward to maintaining communication throughout the year regarding their success.
Student Expectations
My expectations are simple and focus on maintaining a strong foundation of mutual respect. These expectations help students feel comfortable to critically engage with educational material and enhance their learning.
1. We treat everyone in this room, including ourselves, with kindness and respect.
2. We come to class ready to focus, learn, and work.
3. We ask for help when we need it.
4. We use technology appropriately.
5. We are respectful of each other's space and our physical/virtual learning space.

Students may earn full credit on assignments redone within guidelines.
- Quizzes and tests that earned a grade lower than 80 can be retaken within 3 school days of the original test date and after the student has scheduled and attended at least one tutorial session with the instructor.
