Hi!  My name is Nikki Self.  I have a BA in English from the University of Texas at Austin and a Masters in Instructional Leadership from Sam Houston University.  I teach English I and English IV and am the Student Council advisor.  While this is my first year at RFHS, it is my 30th year in education overall.  My goal is to help students develop the reading, writing, and communication skills they will use for the rest of their lives.  When I'm not teaching, I'm most likely reading, writing, watching sports, traveling, playing board games, or hanging out with my husband of 34 years. I cannot wait to share my passion for learning and teaching with my students and the RFHS community this year!
