Chief Jose Betancourtcantu
Born in Reynosa Tamaulipas, Mexico, Chief Cantu moved to the US when he was 9 years of age. He was raised in Corpus Christi Texas, where he graduated from Roy Miller High School. After completing high school, he decided to join the US Navy in June of 2000 and recently retired in July of 2023 after 23 years of outstanding service.
