Organization: Association for Compensatory Educators of Texas

The Association for Compensatory Educators of Texas (ACET) is an association of school administrators and teachers who work in programs across the state designed to support students who historically have a more difficult time in school due to language, economic and other barriers.  Our Association offers twenty $1,000 scholarships across the state to students who have, at some time in their school career, been enrolled in a compensatory education program. Compensatory Education includes programs such as Title I, Bilingual/ESL, State Compensatory Education (SCE), Migrant, and Homeless.  The top scoring applicant in the state will also receive the Wade and Sandy Burroughs Scholarship in the amount of $500.

 

Thank you for your interest in the 2023-2024 ACET Student Scholarship. Eligible applicants must submit a completed application via the registration link no later than Friday, February 16, 2024.  Applications received after the deadline are ineligible. No portion or signature may be omitted.

All scholarship applications and requested materials must be received at ACMSI ([email protected]) by the April 1st, 2025 deadline .
Students with an interest in the medical field and that plan to obtain a degree in the medical field or as a first responder are eligible to apply for this scholarship.  To qualify, students must be a resident of Aransas County and have a 3.0 or B GPA.

The Master Gardener organization will award scholarships in the amounts of $1000-1500 to selected students who apply and share their ideas about water conservation in Aransas County.  Interested students need to complete the above linked application and submit required documents to [email protected]. The deadline for this scholarship is 11:59 pm on February 15, 2025.
 
Coastal Bend Aggie Moms' Club Scholarship

This is a combined application form for over 80 scholarships administered through the Coastal Bend Community Foundation. Scholarships and their criteria can be reviewed by selecting “CBCF Scholarships” or “Outside Scholarships” on the linked website. Please note that not all scholarships are funded each year, but you will be considered for any available scholarships for which you meet the criteria. 
 
The CBCF Online Scholarship Application is open each year from December 15th – March 1st. Scholarships awarded will be for the following academic year. Scholarships are available only to students who graduated from a high school in one of the counties in the CBCF Service Area: Aransas, Bee, Jim Wells, Kleberg, Nueces, Refugio and San Patricio.

The Dennis Henneke Foundation (DHF) is proud to again offer the Dennis Henneke Memorial Scholarships in 2025.  The DHF will award scholarships to qualifying Texas high school seniors or previous high school graduates wanting to start or complete a college degree or trade school. The scholarships will be awarded for amounts up to $16,000 over four years. The scholarships will be awarded based primarily on challenging family circumstances or unusual hardship as well as financial need, character and academic success.

The DHF scholarship application is linked above under the Scholarship tab. All applications shall be received no later than March 15, 2025.

Please note there are 2 versions of the application, one for Technical/Trade School and one for College/University. Please have students use applicable form.

The First United Methodist Church of Rockport is offering 2 scholarships for 2024-25.  The first opportunity is available to seniors who attended and graduated from their pre-school program at First Learning Tree, and the second is for seniors that are going into a vocational program.

This scholarship is awarded to students in the Coastal Bend area who demonstrate a strong work ethic, creativity, and a commitment to their academic and professional goals.  Students must attend an accredited four-year school in Texas or any two year or technical school in Nueces County and currently have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.

This scholarship is donated by Tim & Debbie Chapman & Family, to keep her memory alive and to remember her dedication to the community where she proudly lived and served.
 

This scholarship offers a total of $10,000, with the selected recipient receiving $5,000 per semester. To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must complete the application and submit all required documents. Interested students should click the above linked application and ensure all materials are submitted to [email protected] by March 30, 2025, at 10:00 PM.

The scholarship committee is seeking applicants who have participated in one or more of the following: athletics, maritime, 4-H, National Honor Society (NHS), or other recognized educational clubs. Applicants should also demonstrate financial need and have plans to attend a four-year university, community college, or trade school.

Students that have a Veteran parent, grandparent, or great grandparent that served in the Armed Forces during the eligiblity dates for membership in the American Legion, and are a senior at Rockport-Fulton High School are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

The Rocketts will be awarding two scholarships to a RFHS student.  One scholarship in the amount of $2000 will be awarded to a senior who will be attending a major university.  They will also be awarding a $1000 scholarship to an RFHS student that will be attending a vocational/trade school.  To apply complete the above linked application and submit all required documents to [email protected] by March 1, 2025.
Rockport Center for the Arts Scholarships

Interested in a fine arts degree?  Above are scholarship opportunities for students that plan to pursue a degree in fine arts.  Rockport Center for the Arts will be awarding four $1000 fine arts scholarships and one $1000 culinary arts scholarship this year.  To apply, you must be a senior at Rockport-Fulton High School, attend college in 2025-26, and pursue a degree in fine arts.  You will need to fill out the linked scholarship applications and send the application along with a cover sheet, 3 letters of recommendation, an anticipated expenses sheet, your transcript and your essay to Laura Vogel at [email protected].  Click on each scholarship for the application.  You must apply for each one that you are interested in.
*Essay topic for the above four scholarships:  Why are you passionate about Visual Arts?  What are your educational goals and how will this scholarship help you achieve them?  How will the arts play a role in your life beyond college?

For 20 years, the Rockport-Fulton Education Foundation has administered scholarships that have helped dozens of students from Rockport-Fulton to achieve their dreams. The quality of education provided to our children directly impacts the quality and growth of our community, our state, and our nation.  The focus of RFEF, therefore, is to support programs that go beyond what public funds can provide in order to directly enhance students’ knowledge, thinking skills, and career preparation in creative, innovative ways. The  program will prepare students for life after graduation, whether their next step is a professional career or graduate school.
 
The TLS program is a state-wide, leadership program, aimed at guiding Texas high school graduates to develop their leadership skills and continue their education at a public Texas university. Cohorts of students will be connected with peer and professional networks and mentors, participate in unique leadership development programs, and receive opportunities for undergraduate research and study abroad options.
