About Me

Hello! My name is Coach Kelly Black and I am excited to begin my second year in Rockport. I am a graduate of Lubbock Christian University ("93). This year I will once again be in the CTE Department, teaching Human Growth and Development, Instructional Practices, and Principles of Education Training. I am coaching football where I will be the Defensive Coordinator, and will also be an assistant basketball and track and field coach. This will be my 33rd year in education. I have been married to my lovely wife Lisa, for 29 years and together we have raised 2 boys. Our oldest, Austin, who will also be in his second year at RFHS. Derek, our youngest, will be starting his Senior year at the University of Texas, where he is majoring in Sports Administration, and is an equipment manager for the football team.
