Howdy Pirates!
I'm so excited to be your new physics teacher this year! I have taught for over three years and spent about 13 years alternating in the industry as a project manager for General Electric. I have a passion for science and hope to inspire you all to love the curiosity of life physics can drive!
I went to Smithson Valley High School (north of San Antonio) back in 1998-2001 we were 4A back then! I then went to college at Texas A&M for a major in Nuclear Engineering with minors in mathematics and physics; I graduated in 2006 and continued my education with a Master's in Mechanical Engineering also at A&M! I'm a diehard Aggie fan and live and bleed maroon! After college I began working for GE on the beach in North Carolina, I got transferred with GE to work in New York at their research center for a few years. After having my first son, Luke we moved back to Texas (Houston) to be closer to family. While in Houston my two daughters were born, Elise and Hannah. We moved to Rockport about 3 years ago to be even closer to family and the best beach in Texas! Luke is now 11, Elise is 9, and Hannah is 6!
I'm looking forward to being your new science teacher and hope we have a fun year together!
