Alternative Method for Earning Dual Credit from Courses Not Listed Above
The District may award high school credit for a college-level course completed at an accredited college or university outside of the regular school day. The award of credit is subject to administrator approval and must align with established District guidelines. Please note that grades earned in dual credit courses taken outside of the District high school will not be included in class rank calculations.
District Guidelines
If a student wishes to enroll in a dual credit course not listed in the approved course table, the Dean of CTE and Accountability will review the course content to determine if a high school equivalent exists. If the course is approved, the student must complete an Alternative Dual Credit Request Form, which will be provided by the Dean. To ensure the student receives high school credit for the course, it is strongly recommended that approval be obtained prior to enrollment. The request form must be signed by a parent or guardian before it can be submitted for final approval.
