Ms. Amber Ladd, M.Ed.

As Dean of CTE and Accountability at Rockport-Fulton High School, I am committed to helping every student develop a successful plan for life after high school. Whether a student plans to enter the workforce, pursue higher education, or serve in the military, my goal is to ensure they have the opportunities, preparation, and support needed to confidently take their next step.

I oversee the work that supports students across all postsecondary pathways. For students preparing to enter the workforce, I lead our Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, which provide opportunities to develop technical skills, earn industry-based certifications, participate in work-based learning, and prepare for high-demand careers. For students pursuing college, I oversee Dual Credit and Advanced Placement programs, as well as college readiness and entrance testing, including the TSIA2 and SAT. I also support efforts to prepare students who choose military service as their postsecondary pathway. Through each of these areas, I work closely with students, families, teachers, counselors, higher education partners, industry partners, and our community to help students identify their goals and successfully prepare for what comes next.

Personally, I am incredibly proud of my two daughters and now also love the special role of being a grandmother. My oldest graduated from Texas A&M University at Galveston and is currently attending Officer Candidate School for the U.S. Army. She is also the mom of my one-year-old granddaughter. My youngest is a Bioenvironmental Sciences major at Texas A&M University in College Station and is currently completing her internship semester.

I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the students and families of Rockport-Fulton High School and remain dedicated to creating opportunities that help our students move successfully from high school into college, career, workforce, or military service—and, most importantly, into a future they are prepared to pursue.
